Poems On Greeting Cards
"So now the things of gold burn bright
With shadows blinded by the light
Of good and rightful days of peace
While darkness earns a cold release"
Poet's Statement
"I have never put much value in "trends" or "rules" when it comes to writing.
I have always believed that rhyme and fairly rigid meter--while not always
present in my poems--are interesting and pleasing tools. They may seem
outdated to some, but I, personally, like them and use them a lot.
Although I am quite pragmatic, I also like quaint, almost "corny"
poems-----almost. They are about "real" feelings and "real" values.
I should have lived in the late 1800's---I would have fit in very well with the
"trendy" poets of the time. These days, I will appeal only to those who
think a smile is worth giving. To that end, I have put together some very
simple poem cards that speak for themselves. They don't have the flowery
art that I am certainly capable of putting on them, and they don't have
trademarks or UPC's. They are simple little smile cards---and that's it."
Poem cards are available in packs of 10--blank inside for your
message--envelopes included. Mixed 10-packs are also available.
The cards are for giving to others--you can enjoy the poems for free.
